Golden TransfersAccount-based corporate transport

Pre-booked journeys only. Golden Transfers is a private-hire service — we cannot be hailed in the street and we do not operate from taxi ranks.

Coverage

Where we work

Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire — served in full, not as a radius around a depot. Vehicles work from Reading, Didcot, Newbury, which is how the counties are covered properly rather than thinly. Journeys run from anywhere in those counties to wherever the work goes.

Bookings accepted from

  • Berkshire
  • Oxfordshire
  • Hampshire

Journeys run from those bases to any agreed destination in Great Britain — airports, ports, city meetings, other sites of yours. The limit is on where we collect, not on where we take you.

Why the list is short

Corporate travel is bought on reliability, and reliability is local: it depends on knowing the roads, the sites and the time of day. A firm claiming forty towns is either subcontracting most of them or hoping. Three towns covered properly is a better proposition than a map with thin edges — and when we grow the list, it will be because we can, not because it reads better.

Outside the list

Regular work from a fourth location is worth a conversation rather than a guess: a site with predictable volume can often be added to an account. One-off collections further out are taken on their merits, and the answer comes before you commit to anything.

Licensing

Private hire is licensed per authority, and which licensed operation accepts a given booking matters legally as well as practically. Our licensing position is set out in our customer terms rather than summarised here, because a summary of a licensing arrangement is exactly the sort of thing that goes out of date quietly.

Coverage questions

Do you cover the whole of each county?

Yes. Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire are covered in full, not as a radius drawn around a depot. Vehicles work from Reading, Didcot, Newbury, which is what makes county-wide cover a fulfilment fact rather than a claim. Journeys beyond the three counties are quoted as planned work.

Our office is not in one of those towns. Can you still help?

Ask. If the collection point is near enough to serve properly you will get a yes with a price; if it is not, you will get a no rather than a vehicle that arrives late. Either answer comes quickly.

Can you collect from an airport or station outside the area?

Yes, as the return leg of a journey we are already arranging, and often as a standalone collection. The determining factor is whether we can commit a vehicle to be there on time, not the distance.

Do you cover journeys outside the UK?

No. Road journeys within Great Britain only.
