Website Accessibility Statement
Draft for review
This document is supplied for completion and adoption. Highlighted fields are still to be completed, and it has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor for publication.
Golden Transfers is a trading name of Golden Transfers Ltd. We want people to be able to read our website, ask for a quotation and contact us using a range of devices and assistive technologies. This statement covers [COMPLETE: Golden website URL]. GT11 explains our separate commitments to disabled passengers and accessible journeys.
1 Getting help
If a website feature prevents you from obtaining information or making an enquiry, email [COMPLETE: Golden booking email] or call [COMPLETE: Golden telephone]. Tell us the page or task, what happened, and your preferred way to receive a response. You do not need to disclose a medical diagnosis. If possible, include your browser and assistive technology so we can reproduce the problem.
We can discuss the journey by telephone or email and consider a reasonable alternative format for information. Telephone availability is [COMPLETE: staffed hours and alternative arrangements]. An accessibility request does not itself confirm a transport booking; we will separately confirm the requested journey and any assistance arrangements.
2 Accessibility approach
Our design aim is to follow WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is an accessibility target, not an independent certification or a statement that every requirement has been tested. Our assessment covers semantic page structure, labelled forms, skip navigation, focus handling and reduced-motion preferences. A feature’s presence does not establish that all tasks work with every assistive technology.
We assess keyboard navigation, visible focus, meaningful labels, text alternatives, colour contrast, zoom and reflow, readable errors, mobile controls and the consent interface. We will consider feedback from disabled users and resolve material barriers according to their effect on completing an enquiry.
3 Assessment and known limitations
| Assessment item | Current statement for completion |
|---|---|
| Date and website release tested | [COMPLETE: date, production URL and release]. |
| Scope and methods | [COMPLETE: pages, devices, browsers, keyboard, screen reader, zoom, contrast and form error tests]. |
| Assessor | [COMPLETE: person or organisation and whether assessment was internal or independent]. |
| Known barriers | [COMPLETE: verified issues, affected tasks, alternative access and intended remedy date]. Record the completed assessment before publishing a conformance claim. |
| Third party components | [COMPLETE: active components and accessibility limitations; verify each component actually in use]. |
We will not publish “no known limitations” as a substitute for completing the assessment. If we add a payment link, anti-spam challenge or other external service, we will assess its effect on access and provide a usable alternative where reasonable.
4 Accessible journeys
Please tell us the practical help or vehicle features you need, such as travelling in a wheelchair, storing a mobility aid, boarding assistance or an assistance dog. We will confirm the arrangements we can provide and discuss alternatives when a particular vehicle is unavailable. The website does not guarantee wheelchair-accessible vehicles or a specific item of equipment unless that capability and the booking have been confirmed.
Advance information helps us plan. It is not a condition that removes applicable disability rights. We will not impose prohibited extra charges for assistance or assistance dogs, and any valid legal exemption will be handled through the responsible manager. GT11 explains the complaint and escalation route.
5 Feedback and review
We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within two working days and explain the proposed response or next update. Complex fixes may take longer; we will provide an interim way to obtain the service where practicable. This is a service target, not a restriction on any legal remedy.
You can also make a complaint under GT12. We will review this statement at least annually and when the website changes materially. Effective date: [COMPLETE: approval date]. Next review: [COMPLETE: date].
6 Management completion record
Before publishing, align conformance wording with the completed assessment. Verify that each enquiry and booking route works with keyboard and assistive technology, including any fallback. Test focus return, cookie preferences and all form validation states. Provide usable alternatives for verified barriers.
