Booking
Book a journey
Every journey here is pre-booked: the vehicle is committed to your time in advance, and the price is known before you travel. That is the whole proposition, and it is why there is no "car in two minutes" button on this page.

What to have ready
- The full collection address and postcode — not just the town.
- The destination, including terminal, building or gate where it matters. For airports the terminal is worth checking against the airline rather than the ticket.
- Date and time, and for a flight or sailing the required arrival time rather than the departure.
- Passengers and luggage, counted honestly. A vehicle chosen for four people and discovered to need space for four large cases is the commonest cause of a difficult morning.
- Anything else that changes the vehicle: a child seat, a wheelchair or mobility aid, a pet, several stops, a waiting period.
What “pre-booked private hire” means
Every Golden Transfers journey must be booked in advance — online through the booking system on this site, or by arrangement with your account contact. Under the law in England, private-hire vehicles cannot pick up passengers who hail them in the street and cannot wait for fares at taxi ranks; only hackney carriages can do that. Booking ahead is not a limitation of our service: it is how the service works, and it is what lets us agree the journey and the price with you before any car is assigned.

An enquiry is not an account. Nothing is agreed until we have confirmed the arrangements with you in writing.
After you book
A booking exists once we have confirmed it to you — not when a form is submitted. Keep the confirmation: it states the price, the vehicle and the terms that apply, including waiting and cancellation. If a detail on it is wrong, tell us straight away; correcting it beforehand costs nothing.
Booking questions
Do I need an account to book?
No. A single journey can be priced and booked without one. An account is worth it when several people book, or when finance needs the journeys attributed and invoiced together.
When is the price fixed?
Before the booking is confirmed. The price is attached to the journey as described — collection, destination, date, time, passengers, luggage. A material change to any of those can change it, and we will say so rather than adjust it quietly.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as the journey is known. Early-morning airport runs and event evenings are the two cases where booking late genuinely risks not getting a vehicle, because everyone wants the same hours.
What if plans change?
Tell us as soon as you know. Changes to time, address or passenger numbers depend on availability and may change the price — the revised figure is confirmed before it takes effect. Cancellation terms are in our fares, cancellation and refund policy.
Need an account rather than a single journey?
Accounts cover staff, client and guest travel on one arrangement, agreed in writing.
